RELICENSURE POINTS: USOE will again give relicensure points to educators attending this conference. More details about these points will be sent out in a future email.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Howard Fuller, a nationally recognized eloquent speaker and passionate advocate for education ALL of America’s children will be our key note speaker. You have to attend just to hear him speak!
NEW LOCATION: We have moved the conference this year to the Provo Marriott. This new venue will give us more room while enabling us to keep all of the workshops and the general sessions in one location, under one roof. SUMMARY: The Utah Association of Public Charter Schools is pleased to present the fourth annual Utah Charter School Conference, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 15 & 16. This is a TWO-DAY conference; we do not offer a reduced fee if you only attend one day or the other.
Please set aside two days in June to rub shoulders with others working just as hard as you are in Utah’s charter schools. It is a place to make new friends and learn about other innovations in education. And last, we want this conference to inspire, enlighten and reenergize you.

The Utah Association of Public Charter Schools (UAPCS) is hosting the fourth annual Utah Charter School Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 15 & 16, at the Provo Marriott. Thanks to USOE Charter School Section for continued financial support of the conference and Hogan Construction for being our title sponsor, again!
All of the information needed to become a sponsor of or exhibitor at the conference is compiled here. Please read every page; feel free to contact us with additional questions.
We are moving the conference this year to the Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, in downtown Provo. The Provo Marriott offers a number of significant advantages, not least of which is more space. Since the conference continues to grow every year, the Marriott is large enough to accommodate our increasing attendance and activities. Like UVU, it is more centrally located within the state than SLC, thus facilitating better attendance. For the first time, lodging and the conference are all in one place, simplifying logistics for everyone involved. We have arranged for the terrific rate of $79 a night for both Monday and Tuesday, with free parking for hotel guests.
It is our goal to provide the most affordable venue possible where you can meet most of Utah’s charter schools in one place over two days. However, the move to the Provo Marriott doubled our costs. Despite that, we refrained from doubling the sponsor and exhibitor fees. Even with this year’s slight price increases, Utah is still the most affordable charter conference in the region.
Please check out the video links at the bottom of this page to get a sense of last year’s conference. Keep in mind that if you sign-up to support the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools, as a Business Associate, we have a whole additional menu of marketing opportunities to increase your exposure to Utah’s charter schools, and we are offering a discount on exhibit space. The details are at the end of this document. If you register to sponsor or exhibitor at the conference before December 15, 2009, we’ll also include you in the mid-winter Directory of Utah Charter School Service Providers which will be mailed out to all Utah charter schools in January.

Business Associate Opportunities
As a Business Associate of the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools (UAPCS), you help keep the Association strong so it can continue to offer valuable services to Utah’s 72 charter schools while the UAPCS helps you increase the visibility of your company’s goods and services with these same schools.
Business Associate fees are paid every twelve months (starting whenever you sign-up) and are calculated on a sliding scale, based on your company’s gross revenues:
• Annual gross revenue of less than $500,000: $ 500
• Annual gross revenue of $500,000-$1,000,000: $1,000
• Annual gross revenue of more than $1,000,000: $1,500
